Making baby food can be super easy with a couple of things in the cabinets.
Get yourself an immersion blender.

This is a quick and easy way to get your baby's food made with out a big mess.
Save money over the premade pouches by picking up nature's little squeeze pouches.
We still use them for our daughter at 2.5 and fill them with all of her favorites.

Car Seat Selection & Purchasing

Our Opinion:  Purchasing a number of car seats can be costly especially
when many of the options do not promote closeness with the new baby.
Consider a convertible car seat.  We loved our Graco Size4Me 65 Convertible Car Seat which was around $180.
What to look for:  A convertible car seat that does rear facing from 4lbs to 40lbs.

Why you don't need an infant bucket.
Tell the mom who knows everything to stop. Just stop.
You don't need a bucket.  You don't need all of the piece that snap together.  Is it easier? Maybe.  Does it promote your child being left alone more. Definitely.
The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommends that all infants ride rear-facing starting with their first ride home from the hospital. All infants and toddlers should ride in a rear-facing seat as long as possible, until they reach the highest weight or height allowed by their car safety seat manufacturer. (citation)
Remember the rear facing infant car seat should be used only for travel (not sleeping, feeding, or any other use outside the vehicle for which the car seat is not designed.
Just because every parent  leaves their kid in a car seat to sleep once in the house, in the restaurant or shopping center does not make it the safest place for the child.
Consider: Is you child safer covered with a blanket in a seat next to you or held close in a carrier so that they can hear your heartbeat, feel the rise and fall of your breath.
Consider: 58,200 children are abducted each year.  Every 40 seconds a child goes missing somewhere in the United States.(citation)
These children are not always "kidnapped" but things happen! Wearing a child is a much easier way to keep a child safe.
Get a car seat that they can stay in rear facing for the duration.

Cost Effective Options
